Source: https://tendernation.io/opportunities/01a13b82-575a-7009-b05f-2d24dc2d493b/cbc-construction-framework [Skip to main content](#main-content) pendingGBopen procedure # CBC Construction Framework [Central Bedfordshire Council](https://tendernation.io/buyers/central-bedfordshire-council) Estimated value Not stated Published 23 Feb 2021 Deadline Rolling deadline ## Who can bid - Split into 4 lots You can usually bid for just the lots you can deliver. - Sets up a framework Winning a place does not guarantee work: contracts are awarded later as call-offs, and the list usually stays closed for years. - Open procedure Anyone can submit a full tender; there is no shortlisting stage. ## About this tender Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) will be undertaking a framework contract to appoint building construction partners to carry out construction, building and related works on behalf of CBC and/or other Public Contracting Authorities within the central region of England.CBC is committed to providing opportunities for developing and supporting the local economy and we are keen to understand the current marketplace in the construction industry.We are currently proposing the below Lot design and banding, however through engagement with contractors this may be reviewed: LOT 1 - covers the construction value range of projects between £20k to £750kLOT 2 - covers the construction value range of projects from £500k to £3.5MLOT 3 - covers the construction value range of projects from £2.75M to £10MLOT 4 - covers the construction value range of projects in excess of £8M with no upper limit.We will appoint a time within the Lot engagement presentations which we will programme for 23rd and 24th March 2021.As part of our research to develop the framework, we wish to engage and invite contractors to contribute their current knowledge and experiences via a short questionnaire, which will help us shape the framework and scope of works for the current local market conditions.The questionnaire will be sent to contractors to complete on the 25th – 26th March 2021 and we may contact your further to discuss your responses. Completion of this questionnaire is optional and will not be included in an evaluation part of the Tender process.If you wish to be invited to the research engagement, to express your interest, please e-mail by 19th March 2021 and confirm the banding you are interested in.The procurement route is expected to follow the Restricted process.
