## About this tender

Marine Scotland are intending to have a tendering design developed with a view to procuring a new vessel in the near future and as a result wish to develop a tendering technical specification and its associated plans for the new vessel which will be used as part of the tendering documents for the shipyards.

The project will be split into a number of discreet stages, though an iterative approach to the project will be imperative, for example, as follows:

- Review and development of Statements of Requirement(s);
- Feasibility Study for fuel/powering arrangements;
- Conceptual GA (General Arrangement) drawing;
- Hull design and powering;
- Deck and equipment arrangement;
- Accommodation arrangements;
- Wheelhouse layout;
- Machinery arrangements;
- Displacement calculations;
- Lightship weight estimates;
- Stability calculations;
- Review;
- Resistance, power, sea keeping, environmental noise and maneuvering modelling;
- Development of full technical specification for design and build tender;
- Regulatory and Class assessment and check;
- Estimate of build costs;
- Preparation of plans, drawings and documents for design and build tender;
- Assist with the evaluation of build bids, including yard visits;
- Design and drawing approval during design and build contract;
- Provision of supervisory staff throughout the build and trials stages at shipyard (working with Marine Scotland Staff).
