# Find a Tender

The UK government's procurement notice service, which hosts the Central Digital Platform for notices and supplier registration under the Procurement Act 2023.

Updated 14 Oct 2026

Find a Tender (often shortened to FTS, for Find a Tender Service) is the UK government website where public buyers publish procurement notices. It launched at the end of the Brexit transition period to replace the EU's Official Journal for UK higher-value contracts, and since 24 February 2025 it hosts the [Central Digital Platform](/glossary/central-digital-platform) used under the Procurement Act 2023.

## What it means

The government's [Central Digital Platform factsheet](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/procurement-act-2023-short-guides/central-digital-platform-factsheet-html) describes Find a Tender as the central digital platform. Under [regulation 5 of the Procurement Regulations 2024](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2024/692/regulation/5/made), notices required by the Act are published there.

That makes Find a Tender far broader than it used to be. Alongside tender notices for large contracts, you will find:

- pipeline notices and planned procurement notices
- preliminary market engagement notices
- below-threshold tender notices for notifiable lower-value contracts
- contract award, contract details, change and termination notices

It is also where suppliers register their organisation and generate a [share code](/glossary/unique-identifier-share-code) to give buyers their core information.

## Why it matters for SMEs

For new procurements under the Act, Find a Tender is the single most complete public source of UK opportunities. Many SMEs still think of it as "the site for big contracts" and only check [Contracts Finder](/glossary/contracts-finder), which now mainly carries older procurements. That habit means missing work.

## Practical tip

Register your supplier account on Find a Tender even if you are not bidding yet, and search it regularly for your services. Its notices use CPV codes, so check you are searching with the right ones. Our guide to [Contracts Finder vs Find a Tender](/guides/contracts-finder-vs-find-a-tender) explains when each site is useful.
