The aim of this agreement is to support sustainability, food quality and welfare standards by meeting the Government Buying Standards for Food and Catering (GBSF). It also aims to:

The agreement will help to shorten supply chains by simplifying the customer journey, helping you to meet your carbon net zero targets.

Buyers will also be able to nominate additional suppliers or producers to the agreement.

The framework has an initial term of 2 years, with the option to extend for a further two 1 year periods.

As a single supplier agreement, customers will call off by a direct award. There is a maximum call off length of 2 years. For example: a 12 month contract with a 1 year optional extension period or a 24 month contract.
